Adobe Creative Suite 3 released

Adobe Creative Suite

Adobe Systems launched their latest version of Creative Suite, the Adobe Creative Suite 3, Adobe CS3 as more famously known, on Tuesday, the 27th March. Its a big change and some of them quite obvious ones, after the acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe. Flash & Dreamweaver drops the numeric version numbers like 7, 8 and joins the CS packages. They too will be now known as Flash CS3 & Dreamweaver CS3 along with the usual Photoshop , InDesign and Illustrator. Photoshop now has two versions, one a plain Photoshop, other the Extended version. The Extended version is targetted at more specific industrial application purposes. Nearly all the softwares now have some features added. Some of the most important ones are that Flash is now much more streamlined with the other applications like Photoshop and Illustrator.

In all there are now six editions:
* Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium delivers a dream toolkit for print, web, interactive, and mobile design.
* Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard focuses on professional print design.
* Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium combines the best-of-the-best web design and development tools.
* Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Standard serves the professional web developer.
* Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium is a complete post-production solution for video professionals.
* Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection enables you to design across media — print, web, interactive, mobile, video, and film — in the most comprehensive creative environment ever produced.

Adobe GoLive is dropped now as Dreamweaver comes into the package, as Dreamweaver is more widely accepted as a web application.
