This could be the year when some movies should shatter the box office records. The epic conclusion to the Dark Knight, The Avengers, are a few possible candidates. Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, Peter Jackson, Christopher Nolan are all in action this year. Sequels, conclusions, its all happening in 2012! Lets begin!
2011 promises to be a great year to watch out for. Like every year this year also brings a number of most awaited sequels, blockbusters, spin-offs etc. Lets cut the banter and get to the movies.
Awesome day! So many new trailers released for the Super Bowl spots.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
This is simply awesome. It looks even bigger and better than the first one. Can’t wait for it. It has some new robots and although its not that long, the first glimpse of Revenge of the Fallen is finally here.
Fast & Furious
The first trailers were already out, but this has some new shots for the Super Bowl Spot. More in my Fast and Furious Trailer Preview.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
I was waiting for this one too. And finally the first trailer of G.I. Joe is out. I didn’t expect to see the stuff I saw in the trailer, too much of effects. This is nowhere what I used to see in the cartoons. I hope they don’t mess this one up.
So there you have it then. Exiting trailers, can’t wait for the movies to be released, especially Transformers. Check out my complete preview for the movies in 2009.
2008 was a great year for movies. Lot of big blockbusters ruled the box office and I really had a great time watching them. 2009 has some much awaited movies lined up, some pretty big names directors like Zack Snyder, Stephen Sommers, Michael Bay, Judd Apatow, and some after a long time like Martin Scorsese, Peter Jackson, Quentin Tarantino and James Cameron, so lets have a look on whats catching my eye, and probably yours too, for this year. The first trailer of the X-Men spinoff, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is out today and its looking good. I’m a big fan of Wolverine, him being my favorite mutant in the X-Men universe, I’m really looking forward to see it. Its releasing on May 1, 2009 in U.S. with the Indian release also on the same day (Check worldwide release dates). Directed by Gavin Hood and starring Hugh Jackman, reprising his role of Wolverine from the previous X-Men movies, this is the first of the X-Men spinoffs in the line. X-Men Origins: Magneto will follow after sometime.
The movie is set around 20 years before the first X-Men movie, and its all about who Wolverine is and how he bonded with the adamantium skeleton in the Weapon X program. Other main characters in the movie are Sabretooth played by Liev Schreiber, William Stryker played by Danny Huston and Gambit played by Taylor Kitsch.
The teaser for Pink Panther is out and it promises to be another laugh riot. I had a great time watching The Pink Panther released in 2006, and with all the cast, other than Kevin Kline, from the previous movie returning, it should be real fun to watch. Like I mentioned earlier, Aishwarya Rai also stars in Pink Panther as a criminal expert. The trailer shows that the pink panther diamond is again lost and Steve Martin as Clouseau is again set on the search of it with Jean Reno as Ponton, his sidekick. So go watch the trailer, cant wait for the movie. The release date is February 6, 2009.

Ok so the first trailer for the Fast and Furious, aka Fast and the Furious 4, is out, like I earlier mentioned it has Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster returning in their roles from the first movie. According to Wikipedia the plot is this:
Brian (Paul Walker) is freed from prison, after being undercover, to help the feds stop a heroin importer known as Braga. With the help of an informant named James Park, Brian—and ultimately Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) wins a place on the criminal’s team, where he and Toretto plan to catch the man red handed. This film also shows how Han met Toretto and how he got his car (shown at the end of Tokyo Drift).
The trailer looks cool, the hijacking of tankers of gasoline scene reminds you of the similar scene in the first movie. The trailer shows lots and lots of action and cars. Not much is known right now about the cars, will surely post more as I find out. This movie should do better than Tokyo Drift atleast, whatever, it should satisfy the fans and I’m surely waiting for it. Its slated for a June 5, 2009 release.

Now every gamer knows Max Payne, he doesn’t need any introduction. But not everyone of these gamers know that there is a movie coming out based on our favorite game. Yes, you read it correct, Max Payne the movie. And here is a trailer, watch it.
Mark Wahlberg plays the role of Max Payne and Mila Kunis plays the role of Mona Sax. Its looks great, Mark Wahlberg is a great actor and it even gave us some glimpses of that “bullet-time” action. I hope it lives up to the hopes of many Max Payne fans around the world. Video game adaptations usually dont always work, but this movie I hope changes that notion. The movie releases on October 17, 2008.
The wait is finally over and here is the first teaser of Terminator Salvation. Like I promised in my earlier preview of Terminator Salvation, here is the teaser for the movie starring Cristian Bale.
Ok before some more chitchat, here the link, go watch the video on Yahoo! Movies:
Now that you have watched it, I’m sure many of you must be wishing for more. Well bad news, not much is revealed, teasers are meant that way, but I’m sure we will get some more info and trailers after sometime, which I’ll keep you informed about. As for this trailer, we didn’t get much glimpse of Christian Bale or Sam Worthington, but it looks promising.
“WHAT!”, was my reaction when I read about the fourth movie in the series, “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” or “Terminator 4” if you would like to call it, but the man who plays John Connor is no other than Christian Bale himself, and not only that, its slated for a May 22, 2009 release and the first trailer can be seen as early as The Dark Knight’s release!!! I mean this all came out of nowhere for me, as I didn’t read about it anywhere until now. I’m a Christian Bale fan ever since I saw Batman Begins and The Prestige, and I hope this movie does well as he is a very good actor and I would have high expectations from it.
Now as far as I remember the movie was going for a reboot and was supposed to have a different storyline and stuff. Ok so from what I managed to dig out from the internet, it does get a reboot, as its different from the time travel thing it had.
On May 23, 2008, Warner Bros. released the following plot summary for the film. The synopsis was modified on June 11, 2008:
“Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to be the leader of the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators, and the future he was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a Terminator whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they find out a terrible secret that may lead to the possible annihilation of mankind.”
